Farmers and Growers:

If you are interested in Demeter certification you should first read the general introductory information.

The next step will be to complete a registration application form.

Along with that you will also need to complete a Farm Profile.

At some stage - now or later - you will need to complete two other documents, the Annual Report and the Management Plan.

You will probably also find it useful to read the Demeter information bulletins (No1 and No 2)

Reference to the Demeter New Zealand Standards for Primary Production will be essential

Processors

You should contact Demeter New Zealand for further information about the licensing system. Reference to the Demeter Standards for Processing will be essential. You will also need to prepare a statement about your processing systems. A template is available to guide you in this.

Existing licensees please note:
All the above documents are identical to the ones you use except that your Annual Report form has some information specific to you preprinted on pages 1,2 and 3. You should therefore make sure that you use only the preprinted versions of those pages.

Preparation Makers
if you are making biodyamic preparations you will need to record what you do. There are forms available for this . The preparation evaluation form is also supplied in Word format so you can type in it. Use a new copy for each preparation.
