Happy New Year! Deepen your understanding of biodynamics and its practical application in 2017 with these hands-on workshops—two in the South Island, one in the North. Biodynamic field day, Waimate area
When: Saturday 4 February, 9:30am – 4:00pm
Where: Stevens property (Richard and Angela), 407 Elephant Hill Rd, Waihao Downs, south-west of Waimate, South Canterbury. The property is off-grid and features a straw bale house and barn, a small Dexter stud and 200 fruit trees.
Tutors: Peter and Gill Bacchus. Peter is a long-time biodynamic practitioner, farmer and teacher, and the author of Biodynamic Pasture Management. Gill is author of Food Full of Life.
Cost: $45 single, $75 double
Meals: Morning and afternoon tea provided. Bring lunch to share.

Interactive discussion: “Why Biodynamics?” and its relation to nutrition

Where: New Zealand Nut Producers, 222 Pearson Rd, Cromwell. Valda and Otto Muller grow 30 hectares of walnut cultivars and almond trees on their certified organic property. They use compost and various herbal teas and are currently exploring biodynamic practices.
Tutors: Peter and Gill Bacchus. Peter is a long-time biodynamic practitioner, farmer and teacher, and the author of Biodynamic Pasture Management. Gill is author of Food Full of Life.
What to bring: Lunch, a mug, a deck chair or blanket, umbrella. Morning and afternoon tea will be supplied.
Cost: $45 or a special discounted rate of $60 for both events
