Recently, we’ve been asked about the Association’s stance in relation to the use of 1080, particularly where its application could affect biodynamic producers and/or threaten Demeter certification.
A workshop demonstrating how biodynamics can be practically used in our gardens, orchards and farms to grow strong, healthy plants and animals and high quality food, will be held on Saturday 7 February at 2628A Rings Road, Coromandel.
The second in the Biodynamic Lecture Series will be held over 13–14 February 2015 at the Dunstan Lake Boat Club, Cromwell, Central Otago.
The guest speaker is Glen Atkinson: astrologer, gardener, homeopath and philosopher with a long interest in biodynamics. Glen’s lecture will focus on understanding the Agriculture Course.
If you register and pay by 20 December, you’ll be eligible for an earlybird special offer of $200 per person (save $50). You’ll also receive a free copy of Glen’s book, The Energetic Activities, which provides the reference material for his talk and is a valuable preparation tool in relation to this event.
For registrations and enquiries, please contact Su Hoskin on 021 143 8233 or email@example.com

The 2014 New Zealand Biodynamic Conference.
Speakers shared a cornucopia of thought-provoking perspectives at this year’s annual biodynamic conference. The conference was held in Palmerston North, from Friday, May 23 until Sunday, May 25.
The keynote speakers at this year’s conference were Steffen and Rachel Schneider, who had come over from New York State in the USA. They kicked off the conference together, with an overview of their Hawthorne Valley Farm, which made for an incredibly inspiring window into a holistic biodynamic community, encompassing a mixed farming system (dairy, beef cattle, pigs, chickens, vegetables, grains), artisan food (bakery, creamery, kraut cellar) and various learning centres (apprenticeships, internships, workshops, farm tours, farm camps).
